MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC JEWISH CAUCUS CHAIR CONGRATULATES DAVID COULTER ON APPOINTMENT AS OAKLAND COUNTY EXECUTIVE

Noah Arbit, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus, released the following statement today in response to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners’ appointment of David Coulter (D-Ferndale) as Oakland County Executive.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. — “Given that most of Michigan’s Jewish community lives in Oakland County, Jewish Michiganders have as much stake in the future of the County and its government as any community.

I am relieved to see the end of our County’s recent political drama, and encouraged by today’s appointment of Ferndale Mayor David Coulter as the first-ever Democratic Oakland County Executive. I look forward to a positive working relationship with Mr. Coulter as he steers Oakland County to an even brighter future, and to collaborating with his administration to address issues of concern to Oakland County’s Jewish community.”
