Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus Endorses U.S. Senator GARY PETERS for Re-Election
Michigan Jewish Democrats proud to endorse “one of the strongest advocates Michigan’s Jewish community has ever known”
WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. — The Executive Board of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus announced today the group’s endorsement of Sen. Gary Peters (D-Bloomfield Township) for re-election to the U.S. Senate in November 2020.
"Gary Peters is one of the strongest advocates Michigan’s Jewish community - and our entire state - has ever known,” said Noah Arbit, founder and chair of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus.“ "Not only is Gary committed to combating antisemitism and supporting a secure, democratic Israel and a two-state solution, he also has an exemplary record of working across the aisle and delivering real, tangible results benefitting all Michiganders. Now more than ever, Michigan needs Gary’s leadership in the Senate, and our Jewish community will proudly stand with him as he has always stood with us.”
MDJC's endorsement comes amidst Michigan’s top-tier battleground status in both the presidential and senate elections, Sen. Peters’ recent initiative as a founding member of the Senate’s bipartisan antisemitism task-force, as well as his long-standing record championing the issues and concerns of Michigan’s Jewish community in Congress.
The Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus invites supporters and community members to join a virtual Jewish Heritage Month celebration with Sen. Peters on Tuesday, May 12th.
