What is a Caucus?
A Michigan Democratic Party (MDP) caucus is a political organization comprised of and dedicated to serving a specific constituency group or voting bloc - in our case: Jewish Democrats. MDP caucuses serve as a forum for activists and community leaders to discuss pressing political issues, organize collectively, campaign for Democrats, as well as meet with party leaders and elected officials. Once a caucus is chartered, its leadership team becomes party to regular communications with MDP leadership, and is given a dedicated space to rally at biennial state party conventions.
